HSE Safety Bulletins

HSE issue safety bulletins to pass on important health and safety messages in a consistent, proportional and effective manner.

HSE safety alerts are issued for major faults that would result in a serious or fatal injury and where immediate remedial action is required.

HSE safety notices are usually issued to facilitate a change in procedure or to require an action to be undertaken to improve the level of protection or instruction in a potentially dangerous situation. Safety notices must be acted upon within a reasonable time, if a time period is not stated when they are issued.

During normal activities, HSE will also come across information that needs to be passed on to a wide audience or a specific group or sector of industry, HSE will use the most appropriate means to do this to ensure the message is received by those who need to take action.

Visit the HSE safety bulletin page to view the latest and previous HSE safety bulletins. You can also subscribe to receive immediate notifications when new HSE safety bulletins are issued.
