The Working Well Together campaign usually run about 60-65 events across England, Scotland and Wales every year. Most of the events are free to attend and we usually feed you too!

    Competent Contractor (SSIP Accreditation Schemes) for SME Construction Companies

    Flyer attached for this (free) event which is aimed at SME/self-employed construction companies and is to help companies with winning business & effectively presenting their offer (to potential commercial clients) professionally as part of the Safety Schemes in Procurement Scheme (SSIP).  Larger sized companies are welcome to attend if they think it will be of benefit to them.  Clients are also welcome to attend as they may find it beneficial too.

    Roof Work and Work at Height

    LTC Training Services, Colesdown Hill, Plymouth

    This free half day event will provide self-employed builders and small construction companies with practical up-to-date information, help and advice.

    The information given on the day will help you take action to protect you and your employees’ future health, safety and wellbeing.

    The program will consist of talks and demonstrations with the opportunity to ask questions from those within the industry as well as your local HSE Inspector.

    Topics covered:

    Scaffold inspection

    Netting / Internal falls

    Pitched roof and ladders

    Powered access

    Edge protection / Flat roofs

    Tower Scaffolds (PASMA)

    At the mid morning break a free cup of coffee or tea and pasty will be available and there will be a

    prize draw at the end of the event

    So, whether you are a self-employed jobbing builder or run a small building company this free event is a must for you and your operatives.
